Sydney’s Coastal Walk

SYDNEY COAST WALK Coogee to Bondi

A cliff top and the most famous coastal walk in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. That’s Bondi to Coogee walk. The Bondi to Coogee walk features stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. There is a chance to have a rest, swim on the way or have a snack in local cafes and restaurants.
This walk follows the coast at south part of Sydney and it takes about 2 hours to finish the part from Bondi to Coogee without too much stops.
You will visit famous Sydney beaches, enjoy stunning views, cliffs walk, nice parks and have chance to taste snack in local kiosks and restaurants.

FACTS

Duration: 2-3 hours
Walking distance: 6 km

TOUR PROGRAM

We devide the trip into four parts according to the beaches you will visit at the tour.

Bondi – Tamarama

We will start the Bondi to Tamarama section in the middle of Bondi beach next to Bondi Pavilion.
This part of the walk offers sweeping views of North and South Bondi. If there is a season you will have a chance to watch whales from Marks Park and Mackenzies Point. The Bondi to Tamarama walk hosts the annual Sculpture by the Sea outdoor exhibition of over a 100 artworks displayed along the coast.

Tamarama – Bronte

Another option for a break and snack is Tamarama Kiosk.
This is the easiest and shortest section of the walk with a view of Pacific Ocean. During the Sculpture by the Sea exhibition around October/November every year, Tamarama beach turns into an open air sculpture gallery.

Bronte – Clovely

Bronte Beach and Bronte Park spread out ahead are perfect for a rest and a rock pool offers a swimming option when ocean is too wavy. Also at busy days there is Bronte kiosk on the concrete beach promenade.
Then we will climb up the steps and footpath up through a steep cutting until we reach Calga reserve. The cliffs above Bronte Beach offer great views of the Bondi to Coogee walk. A 500 meter coastal clifftop boardwalk with rest stations and lookouts traverses on the edge of Calga Reserve above sheer cliffs and the sea and spans the length of the historic Waverley cemetery on top of sandstone cliffs and rock platforms. Before reaching Clovelly beach we will walk through Burrows Park with great views of Bondi to the north and Malabar Headland to the south.

Clovelly – Coogee

Last part goes from Clovelly Beach, a tranquil beach at the mouth of a narrow bay between two rocky ridges. Then we will walk up couple of stairs and down on the wooden footpath to the Gordon’s bay, a picturesque and protected aquatic reserve. After that before reaching Coogee Brach we will pass Dunningham Reserve, Dolphins Point (yes, there is a chance to see dolphins or whales during the whole walk) and Giles Baths.
